Among many myths and conspiracy theories COVID-19 vaccines are surrounded by, lots of misconceptions about male inferility have led to vaccine hesitency in men. Fortunately, there is no evidence supporting the validity of such claims. Therefore, it is a myth that COVID-19 vaccines cause male infertility. 

According to the new study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), COVID-19 mRNA vaccines, Pfizer and Moderna, do not alter sperm in any way. The study assessed sperm count, sperm motility, sperm concentration and semen volume in 45 healthy men (between ages of 18 and 35) before they received their first dose of vaccine and around 70 days after they were given the second dose. The study revealed that "there were no significant decreases in any sperm parameter."

The myth that COVID-19 vaccines cause male inferility is also debunked by a more recent study conductd by Dr. Myriam Safrai of Jerusalem’s Hadassah Medical Center in Israel. The study examined the effect of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on sperm and found that there was no significant change neither in count nor in quality of sperm.
